Yesterday the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the record industry’s appeal of a lower court decision that held that Grokster and Streamcast weren’t liable for copyright infringement conducted on their P2P networks. A win for Grokster will hopefully mean that the music industry will have to take a saner position on digital media and offer a product that people actually want to pay for. Good coverage on NPR and SCOTUSblog.
