No Mandriva on Dell

An InfoWorld blog clears up the confusion over Mandriva’s announcement that Dell is selling notebooks with Mandriva Linux pre-installed. It turns out it was just a custom installation for French Ministry of Education and Mandriva somehow twisted that into Dell’s first “conumer Linux product.”

Mandriva has announced that Dell is now selling notebooks pre-loaded with Mandriva Linux. The press release says they’re selling them to students and they don’t seem to be available on the Dell web site, no word on wider availability.
