Robot Wisdom is back

Wow, Jorn Barger has been back posting on Robot Wisdom since February and I’m just noticing now. Robot Wisdom was one of the best and earliest blogs and is why I tend to refer to newspapers as “NYTimes” and “WashPost”. Barger fell out of public view in 2003 and it seemed Robot Wisdom would dissappear. You can follow the whole Barger story at his Wikipedia article.

Chip Salzenberg Sued After Blowing Whistle on Employer

Perl developer Chip Salzenberg complained about his employer’s illegal web site harvesting and open proxy abuse and they responded by reporting him to police and suing him for misappropriating trade secrets. In April, Chip’s home was raided by police and all his computer equipment was seized. The DA dropped the criminal investigation but the civil case is ongoing, a legal defense fund has been established.
