This is ridiculous. Apparently I’m cold and heartless because I work in the tech industry and you can tell this because of the jargon I (don’t) use.
Thomas Jefferson on patents:
That ideas should freely spread from one to another over the globe, for
the moral and mutual instruction of man, and improvement of his
condition, seems to have been peculiarly and benevolently designed by
nature, when she made them, like fire, expansible over all space,
without lessening their density in any point, and like the air in which
we breathe, move, and have our physical being, incapable of confinement
or exclusive appropriation. Inventions then cannot, in nature, be a
subject of property.
I exchanged email with riothero once. He wanted to know if I was also going to SXSW. My answer was basically that I didn’t have the time or money. Now he’s going to London to meet some bloggers. When I was in high school, even if my parents had had the money to send me to far away places to hang out with people I’d met on the web, they never would have let me. But I’m not bitter or anything.
I’m pretty sure this is made up, especially considering the lack of a byline. Too bad.
A bunch of people in black polo shirts holding hands. I work for a cult!
Yesterday was the Fuelspot Cookout. Today is the Granitar cookout (pictures tomorrow).
