Joyce Millman, who usually raves about Buffy in Salon, raves about it in the Boston Phoenix this week. She also utterly pans Buffy creator Joss Whedon’s new show, Firefly. I agree with her assesment of Firefly but I think it may be salvageable if it doesn’t get canceled soon.

The researchers said the benefits may result in part from reductions in blood pressure and body fat achieved through weight training.”

Elephant 6 Is Dead

Elephant 6, the collective that brought you such notable bands as Apples in Stereo, Neutral Milk Hotel, Olivia Tremor Control, and Elf Power, is dead. Somehow I don’t think we’ll be seeing a Behind the Music about this one.

Movable Type

I’ve moved this blog to Movable Type, mostly because its amazing feature-set beats the pants of my puny roll-your-own tool. I would have used MT when I was building my own tool but, at the time, it didn’t support MySQL. I’ve still got some clean up to do in the comment templates and I’m going to have to investigate this TrackBack thing.
