Davide Girardi, a vegetable seller, was one of several
people from Limone sent to the National Institutes of
Health in Washington, D.C. Researchers fed him a high
cholesterol diet.
"I was up to my eyeballs in hamburgers," he says, "and
my blood was just fine."
